General Motors has just revealed pricing for its all-new 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe and its hotted-up CTS-V Coupe sibling that both go on sale in the United States in early August.
The standard CTS Coupe comes with a 3.6L Direct Injection V6 engine that delivers 304-horsepower and is available with a six-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission as well as rear-wheel and all-wheel drive.
Pricing, including destination charges, starts from $38,990 for the RWD model and from $40,890 AWD. That's a few thousand dollars less than one of its closest competitors, BMW's 300HP 335i Coupe and xDrive Coupe that start from $42,650 and $44,550 respectively.
Cadillac said that the CTS Coupe will be available in two suspension-tuning levels – 'Performance' with 18-inch wheels and all-season tires and 'Summer Tire Performance' with 19-inch wheels and summer tires.
The Detroit automaker's M3 chaser, the CTS-V Coupe starts from $62,990 including destination charge, meaning it's $4,590 more expensive than the less powerful BMW M3 Coupe (414HP V8) that begins from $58,400.
The CTS-V Coupe is powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 pumping out 556HP, which propels the 2+2 coupe from 0-60 mph (96km/h) in 3.9 seconds.

even the base price is grossly overt. still, a beautiful machine, especially the non "v" variant. the immature looking boy-racer is too predicable, especially with that overly used grille-work. i do like the touring wagon, too, but have not seen more than a couple on the roadways. the sedan is striking in its own way and is in no way a mere copy of another brand's saloon, import or otherwise.
the pricing for the spec v is almost exactly the same as the sedan spec v that is 62,845 but the base model is 3 grand more than the sedan but the base motor for the cts sedan is 3.0L 270hp variant plus to get a cts sedan with the 3.6L will cost you 3 grand more than the standard coupe and the spec v is more on the level of the m6 or rs5 and clk63 amg black series(if merc would still make them aka e63 coupe) this car should do well just like the sedan took long enough to come out though
It's an impressive machine, but the CTS-V grossly overpriced in my view. That cheap looking mesh grill looks like something I've seen on the road a thousand times. The entry version looks much more classier in my honest opinion. Can't wait to get a glimpse of this beast on the road.
Let's have some fun
This car is sick
Let's hit this ride with the ugly stick!
The styling is already dated; the pricing, ridiculous for the V. Pity.

You listen to pop music.
Your human rights should be taken away from you.
I sat in a rental last year (the V6 engine model) and as a Jag owner I was very impressed. I just dumped my S-Type R and would easily buy the V variant at $65k......IF I was insane enough to waste investable money on a depreciating aluminium lump. I'll never waste $ on a car luxo boat again, thanks Jaguar for clarifying my opinion of 'luxury' cars.
wow, I wish I had enough money to be as stuck up as you guys are. When was the last time you drove a ford? or a toyota? The V is a beautiful machine. Inside and out. If you ask me, its got guts underneath the hood and luxury in the interior, and class all over the exterior. Your probably the same people that hate beer because it makes you feel bloated. Your out of touch. It has the same class and quality as your other 'luxury' cars. Yea it may be American but that doesnt mean it doesnt match up. Let me know when your next rental is a Prius.
