With Volkswagen and Audi both featuring what marketers and advertising agencies like to call "four-door coupe" models in their range (the Passat CC and A5 Sportback respectively), one wonders why the German group hasn't added a similar model to their more mainstream brands, Seat and Skoda.
Czech architect and designer Pavel Hrubyi decided to take matters in his own hands (or so to speak) and draw a four-door coupe, sportback, fastback or whatever else you would like to call it, proposal for the Skoda brand based on the firm's range-topping Superb saloon.
Hrubyi completely redesigned the Superb II from the B-column and back adding a more rakish roofline and getting rid of the production model's frumpy rear end with the dual opening boot lid.
Even though it's just a drawing, the end result looks quite promising. Maybe the folks over at Skoda should take a look at this.

It's only a rebadged VW Passat CC. Nothing new there.
It may only be a rebadged VW Passat CC but it still looks very good and it should be cheaper than the VW Passat CC and other rivals. I say Skoda should make it.
It's only a rebadged Passat CC, but at least it's not overpriced. I'd go for the Skoda instead of the VW.
Skoda Fatback, I must say.
It looks more elegant than the Volkswagen CC, which earns kudos for being sporty. Choice is good.
i does have its own unique look. this is the only good looking skoda ever, imo, so i hope it is built.
Will it still have the clever double boot?
Ugly!!!
Stunning! Better-looking than the Passat CC. They should build it -- the normal liftback's rear end especially the lights area, is rather clumsy.
the back looks like an exotic. cool.
"i does have its own unique look."
Yeah, just like all the other kammbacks/four-door 'coupes'.
Skoda should produce traditional 4-door sedan and Sportback-style hatchback instead of current 5-door sedan.
It looks like the Opel Insignia hatchback.
Skoda Superb Fastback RS+. Then we'll talk.
Looks a bit like the Volvo S60...
otherwise okay looking...
"Looks a bit like the Volvo S60..."
It looks more like a Volvo S80... especially the first pic. The rear looks unique... Nevertheless, I suggest Skoda to consider this fastback saloon concept...
I think that Skoda must produce a car of this type.
Most of the models of the brand are almost the same (classic)...BUT Skoda has some great pros ++ 1)low cost and 2)reliability.
It is a great motive for byers who want to bye a car like passat cc , opel insignia , volvo s60 , even an (expensive) audi to choose a Skoda instead.
I live in Greece and i think that this kind of car will be a big success here.
Hahaha, looks like Opel Insignia hatchback LOL !!!
Are you crazy ???
Insignia wins Red dot and more design price.
Superb fatback is bad (ugly) copy of Passat CC.
To Carscoop- Not Hrubyi, right is HrubĂ˝. LOL !
(Opel Insignia + Volvo S60) / 2
Skoda's so called reliability doesn not add a single pro ,
I live in Greece too and I know for sure that all VW group brands have the same reliability rankings in surveys, good or bad.
