2011 Hyundai Elantra / Avante Interior Teased with Rendering

|

At this year's edition of the Busan Motor Show in April, Hyundai gave us our first look at the rakish new Elantra sedan, known as the Avante in its home market. However, the South Korean company only showed us its outer parts as the display model's windows were all blacked out.

Now, Hyundai is teasing us with a conceptual rendering of the Elantra's interior that, like the exterior, promises a dramatic revamp relative to the current model Judging from the sketch, the 2011 Elantra's cabin design will continue the same "sculpted" theme seen on the new Sonata's interior.

The Elantra is expected to go on sale in the automaker's home market as the 2011 Avante with a new 140HP 1.6-liter direct-injection gasoline unit before the end of the year.

While Hyundai has yet to confirm U.S. availability, recent reports from South Korea claim that the new Elantra will be built at the firm's Montgomery, Alabama plant starting from April, 2011.

personally, i'm not a giant fan of hyundai's new styling direction with this car. i do like the curves, but the overall design looks a bit shapeless and melted. But, then again, the old one was even more shapeless.

the inside is beginning to match the exterior styling theme. nice, but hoping it does not become too trendy.

toyota, honda, nissan and GM all must be thinking WTF, how come HYUNDAI/KIA keeps bring out designs that makes our designs look outdated . none of the above have as good designs as HYUNDAI/KIA DOES, with the exception of ford who is right up there with hyundai.kia on nice fesh designs like the focus and festiva/mustang...I will be honest i see the mustang and genesis coupe as both cars I want bad, I see the focus/elantra as cars I woulds be happy to buy and the new accent/festiva are both cars I could live with and not be ashamed to drive..all the other makes have nothing as fresh or as nice, price though wins so I thing HYUNDAI WILL EDGE OUT FORD FOR ME BY PRICE/WARRENTY

With reference to earlier comment - "toyota, honda, nissan and GM all must be thinking WTF, how come HYUNDAI/KIA keeps bring out designs that makes our designs look outdated . none of the above have as good designs as HYUNDAI/KIA DOES, with the exception of ford who is right up there with hyundai.kia on nice fesh designs like the focus and festiva/mustang".....you must be joking right? Take a look at the stylish new Buick Regal, not your grandfathers car brand anymore!
