A photograph of an undisguised 2011 Peugeot 508 sedan (or at least that's the most likely badge), allegedly captured during the filming of a promotional clip somewhere in Madrid, Spain, has been making the internet rounds today.
If it's the real deal, then it appears that Peugeot's designers have toned down the styling a little compared to the near-production concept model, called the "5 by Peugeot", that was showcased in Geneva earlier this year (see here).
The new 508 will replace both the mid-size 407 and premium 607 sedans, taking a flagship role in Peugeot's vehicle range. The concept model measured 4,860mm in length, 1,880mm in width and 2,815mm in wheelbase, meaning it was 42mm shorter than the 607 but 168mm longer than the 407 sedan.
We'll most likely see the production model getting its world debut at the forthcoming Paris Motor Show this fall, with European sales of the sedan to start next year.

Peugeot should give a version of this car to Mitsubishi, since they are in dire need for a replacement for the obsolete Galant.
Since dumping Pininfarina, Peugeot has certainly lost all flair in design. This car looks like a JDM Skyline 250 sedan. They used to make cars that were like tailored suits.
^ you're right!!
The rear of this looks awesome.
Peugeot are getting better & better!
very interesting....!!! j'aime bien la nouvelle Peugeot 508. elle est trés chic...!!
I do like it alot, but from that view it does look like a Subaru Legacy/Liberty... especially the window line!

These Pininfarina crossreferences are boring now...don't you have anything more original or at least not yet recycled like a 100 times to say?
The car; yes! as Jake02 has also suggested the C pillar does look like the one on the Legacy, JDM as you've correctly pointed out and Lexus GS for that matter but yeah ...but that's something not unique to a particular brand or car ....
The car seems to look even better than the concept, and this is starting to be a common trend with PSA Citroen and Peugeot...it either looks better than the Concept or it looks the same... look at the DS3/RCZ?
This car is really very beautiful. Peugeot will be better and better. "BUT", this car is a concept! The finish car from them will be more normal and less spectacular.
In this concept car, I love the front and back light, and the top of this car.
But in the captured car, I can see the different back and top.
I haven't see the front, but I can think 100%, the front light aren't so spectacular with this star like led's!
Peugeot will use Xenon or Halogen light like all other cars... this is one of the big problem in the concepts...
I do hope this medium-large Peugeot would be manufactured in Japan by Mitsubishi, this company's business partner, with the designation of "Diamante",Mitsu's obsolete premium sedan.
The Peugeot 508 should become a worthy contender for the VW Passat,in fierce Euro premium-midsize segment.
Peugoet has done a great job with the design of the 508 they should continue this design theme in there model line up
