M Sports Package for New BMW 5-Series Officially Revealed, Includes Suspension Upgrade

|

Well, just about everything there is to say about the new M Sports Package for the 2011 5 Series Saloon and Touring has been said already thanks to the leaked product brochure and photos that hit the internet last week, but BMW made it all official today.

Available from September 2010, the new package was developed by BMW's 'M' division. It comprises an M sports suspension, M aerodynamics package with a new front bumper and a rear diffuser, and 18-inch M light alloys featuring a double spoke design. Optionally available features include 19-inch M light alloys as well as an M rear spoiler for the saloon.

Interior add-ons include sport seats featuring Alcantara / fabric upholstery and contrasting seams, an M leather-clad steering wheel and gear knob, the M footrest, an anthracite BMW Individual roof lining and aluminum hexagon interior trim strips.

amaazing! I can finally get a true BMW M Sports footrest! I bet this is the real sport version of BMW footrest. You know the one that saves weight, is extra sturdy to stay screwed on even in the fastest corners, improves the torsional rigidity of the chassis, features the M badge which provides the SPORT aura around it and gives extra 3.5bhp to all diesel engines!
All the suckers are very exited!

well, I'm sorry to say this but the M pack looks terrible ! I sold my beloved M5 few month ago for a S5 Sportback and after looking at those pic glad I moved to Audi.
As always, interior looks very conservative and Boring
Wheels looks dreadful ! Allo ??????
Diffuseur looks terrible !

I am soooooo disappointed !!

I just hope that the new M5 will look better & more aggressive..

c'mon BMW !!!!!!!!!

Not bad looking. Then again that's not saying much, BMW has been coming up with either boring or awkward exterior designs as of late. At least it will drive well.

Looks great, but I really dislike the rear diffuser. Why can't it be painted to match, or CF? The plastic looks awful!
