Lexus Announces LFA Luggage Collection, Tens of Buyers Rejoice

|

Traveling in the Lexus LFA will soon get a lot better for some of the vehicle's owners, thanks to a new dedicated line of travel cases designed to fit perfectly in the boot area of the $375,000 Japanese supercar. Created in partnership with Tumi, New Jersey-based manufacturer of travel bags and suitcases, the two-piece luggage set will accompany the LFA in select markets, including the US and Europe.

The Tumi cases are styled using components that are directly related to the appearance of the LFA, such as aluminum and carbon fiber-like materials. Each bag will be inscribed with the vehicle identification number (VIN) corresponding to the owner's LFA.

Lexus said each case is designed with a distinct purpose - the smaller piece sized to fit the "essentials for track racing, including gloves and shoes, or items for a quick getaway", and larger one, for longer trips.

The first deliveries of the 552HP V10-powered Lexus LFA will be begin January next year. Production will be limited to a total of 500 units worldwide, with around 20 cars scheduled to be built each month.

LF-A is a joke. The first supercar lexus comes out with is so limited that no one will ever see it, too prissy so no one will ever race it and basically, unproven in any major competition so why would anyone take it seriously?

Newsflash: For that price, you can go to a boutique supercar maker and get something really special and even better. Saleen, Mosley, Koenigsegg, heck even Pagani. I'd rather have a Rossi66 with a zr-1 powerplant...gorgeous.

I wish lexus had come out with the LF-A, put it into the hands of a competent race team, won a couple titles and then got into the supercar game for real. GT-R had a rich history, Audi and Porsche are basically the standard. I don't care about Nurburgring times if you don't win titles as a brand. Any car company can dump a ton of cash into something and call it special...what did lexus actually achieve besides doing what any large scale company can do...oh and I think it is pretty ugly for a supercar, just sayin.

Newsflash: If you are an owner of a Saleen, Mosely, Koenigsegg or heck even Pagani..always ensure you have these company engineers next to you on the passenger seat. god knows...sorry only these engineers know what will happen to these cars.
Oh you think it is pretty ugly for a supercar. Oh you think!
Tell me which supercar looks as good as the LF-A and as different.

"god knows...sorry only these engineers know what will happen to these cars."

At least those engineers would be forthcoming at tell you what is wrong whereas lexus would deny it for years, then blame you personally for their defects.

"Tell me which supercar looks as good as the LF-A and as different."

Here's the thing; the LFA isn't a supercar. Therefore, by extention, the cars listed above have already fufilled that demand in terms of 'looks', which is already a subjective matter anyway.
