What you see pictured above is an official rendering of the Honda Civic Concept, which will be revealed in the flesh at the upcoming 2011 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in January 2011. According to the Japanese automaker, the concept is more of a pre-production study that will preview the actual, ninth-generation 2012 Civic, which will go on-sale in North America in spring next year.
The illustration depicts a coupe model with possible styling influences from the European market Civic hatchback (front) and the North American Accord Coupe (profile). Honda did not release any specific details on the car, but we suspect that we'll learn more within the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned.

The American right? What about the european model?
Nothing wrong with the European model, it still looks great and it could stay on the market for at least two years or more.
Wow! this could be the most awaited concept. Hope it has the DNA of that iconic Civic design.

2012 model on sale in the Spring of 2011? If factual, they already have finished design and ordered/finished up production tooling, so why a concept drawing? Drawing must more then hint at actual design, if so, this will be a another great looking Civic. Hope they do something classic and not innovative with the dash/instrument panel.
anon #2 - the euro civic is already in testing think its out late next year
The only reason they are only releasing a concept right now is because they want to sell off the remaining 8th generation Civics before people see the new one and decide to wait til spring to buy.
sorry honda fans but this is ugly , Honda just can not design a good looking car anymore, though any thing is better then that new 2011 scion tC that looks like a ugly throw back from the early nineties
Gorgeous design!
The current Civic still looks fresh and modern. Love the dimensions and every Honda and Acura I have owned. A real stunner. Another winner.
this coupe looks cool. heard it will share the sedan's hybrid system as an option.
Another Honda Triumph.
39-46% of Kia and Hyundai are sold to fleets. Yikes. Only a meager 2% for all of Honda and less than 1% of Acuras. Not amazing as a Honda owner that the Civic still continuously remains in the top 10 - often just trailing the Accord in sales. FANTASTIC!
Hope the design stays close to the drawing shown. Looks as different from the sedan as the Accord Coupe from its four door counterpart. I am in :)
hurry, honda! i am ready to move up from my stellar honda fit. will likely keep that, too, but the resale value is extremely high. would make a decent second car, though.
Loveing it
What about a Acura RSX ?
