To say the new 300 sedan is an important model for the future of the Chrysler Group is an understatement. This was more than evident at the firm's press conference at the Detroit motor show today, segments of which you can watch in the video after the jump.
The overhauled for the 2011 model year full-size sedan boasts new sheetmetal as well as a significantly improved interior and a modern 3.6-liter V6 engine with 292HP that joins the 363HP-strong 5.7-liter V8 Hemi. Last week, Chrysler announced pricing information for the 300, which starts at $27,995 for the entry-level V6 model and tops out at $41,145 for the V8 version with AWD (click here for more details).
“The all-new 2011 Chrysler 300 is an icon of American ingenuity and symbolizes the greatness Detroit-designed vehicles offer the streets, highways and boulevards of the world,” said Olivier Francois, President and CEO — Chrysler Brand, Chrysler Group LLC.
“From its premium materials, state-of-the-art connectivity features, new chassis architecture and best-in-class power, the all-new Chrysler 300 embodies the brand’s new attitude in every detail. And to ensure our all-new Chrysler flagship delivers more than unmistakably bold and powerful American style to our customers, the Chrysler 300 team benchmarked the craftsmanship, technology and refinement of the segment’s best sedans to deliver a new world-class quality and performance symbol at an attainable price.”

"something more deeper than sh*t metal" He said not me.
sweet!
It comes in colours other than black! Lol. Was wondering with the many early photos. Please come to the UK, 300C.
Elegant, sporty, classy... one of the few large car offerings. Count me in. This or the '11 Dodge Charger R/T for me. Hard to choose.
the interior is impressive! the exterior is celebrity. yes, bring this to europe. hope we see a new touring here, too.
"the exterior is celebrity"
So in other words you're saying the exterior is a gauntless vapid git that does nothing to enrich the lives of others and contributes nothing to the bettement of the human species?
'celebrity' is the newest four-letter word.
Should be a decent seller to current 300 owners and those that like to after-market their 300. Expected a full-redesign but it's was really what's on the inside that counts because that was Chrysler's weakness in the 300.
I liked the new fascia... It looks miles better than its predecessor... Perhaps it is my opinion...
Looks good and it will sell well to it's target demographic. But personally, I liked the previous generation a little better. However, the updated interior and other improvements (especially when it gets the promised transmission update) will make the 300 a much better car overall. Can't wait for the next complete redesign and the new transmission.
Well developed American sedan. Her Pentastar 3.6-litres V6(292bhp) is a great leap from the well-sorted yet somewhat sleepy previous 3.5 V6 unit(250-260bhp). That's quite respectable, but her engine muscle seems commendable yet hardly fire-cracker.
Namely, the 5.7-litres Hemi yielding 370bhp is the best unit for this chunky American muscle in my notion. It's the very engineering triumph from recent US automakers.
