Buick Envision Concept SUV Heads to Shanghai Auto Show

|

A new Buick concept model called the Envision will make its global debut at the Shanghai Auto Show on April 18. Jointly developed by Shanghai GM and the Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center (PATAC), the Envision is a crossover model designed for the Chinese market, although the company points out the vehicle incorporates Buick's "dynamic, fluid, quiet and comfortable" styling language.

The show car is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system and "loads of new technologies", according to GM's China subsidiary. However, neither the drivetrain, nor the technologies are detailed, as the information will be released on April 18. The teaser photo shows the rear end of the crossover and a section of the interior. From the looks of it, the Envision appears to sport a muscular exterior design, with aggressive shapes and creases.

It is not known yet if the Envision concept will spawn a road-going version or if it will remain simply a design exercise.

If this is truely the best GM Buick has to offer after Chapter 11. This is either sad or GM has learn absolutely nothing. For by the time this hits the roads it will look not only aged design wise but like a rebadge captiva. With a over priced tag. Failing it's cutomers again

IF you do not agree or believe me just look at the where and what Buick came up with for it's family mover. concept of a former Opel family mover.

Now that is just sad if not poorly thought. Out if this is to makeover a dying brand. For the only one and place it is selling well in china.

You're missing the bigger and far more obvious picture.

BOTH OPEL AND BUICK ARE OWNED BY THE SAME COMPANY.

What you're suggesting it no different then what Audi and VW do, what Lexus and Toyota do, what Lincoln and Ford do, what Hyundai and Kia do.

Moron.
