Bumping into or even just scraping against an object while pulling you car out of a parking space has probably happened to everyone at least once or twice. However, you would expect an owner of a spanking new Ferrari 599 GTO worth north of €260,000 or close to $400,000 to be far more careful that usual when attempting to reverse out of a parking space. Apparently, being careful was not in the nature of the owner of this blacked out 599 GTO in Cologne, Germany. Video follows after the break.
Here’s how the Youtube user who filmed the video described the encounter:
“I saw this beautiful Ferrari 599 GTO in Cologne. I waited for an hour when the Owner came back. Then he starts up that Beauty and wanted to drive backward. My brother said "Vorsicht" (Watch out) 3 times. After that you can hear an awful sound when he hits the pole. It's so sad to see the damage and hear that noise.”

Just another US federal agent at work.
Being unable to engage the reverse gear, check.
Reverse 20m away for no apparent reason, check.
Hitting a pole clearly visible if he had used his mirror, check.
That's why we can't have nice things.
His wife should never have let him drive it.
SCHIZER!
This will buff right out.
With the turning circle of a bus, I'm not surprised.
com'n guys, why is this news worthy? everytime a drive makes an error in a Ferrari or Lamborhini is news?
it's news 'cause one man's misfortune, is another man's laugh. great news for a lousy work day.
its news , because its like someone would spit on MonaLisa´s painting, or hit the Eiffel tower with an bus... its damaging the "auto-history" ... cmon, how many of them will be made? a moron like this will destroy it in few months :-(
