The most affordable model is the Ferrari California, priced from 22 million rupees, which is equal to US$485,300 or €354,000, while the most expensive, the new FF that carries a 34.1 million rupee (US$752,000 or €535,000) price tag.

“Our objective was to launch the Indian market in 2011 and it 's a pleasure to inaugurate this first dealership here today,” said Ferrari boss, Amedeo Felisa. “We feel that this is the right moment, considering the dynamism of the country and its economy. Here in India you feel great enthusiasm and a strong connection to the Ferrari brand, which, even before officially entering India, had already around 50 clients in the country.”

This shiny, red 458 Italia photographed against the stark poverty slums of India would make a fantastic photo shoot! Anyone?

Soon India will be outsourcing it's grunt work to the USA.

There is lots of cheap labour in the US.

"most of those indians in the room make more than your family has in the past 3 generations"

Most of the Indians in the room? All I see are 5 suits and a whole load of journalists, so I highly doubt they are making anything worth shouting about; much less anything comprible to a bunch of dead people.

Not everyone in emerging markets is loaded, a fallacy many western investors and hanggers-on make. The Indians will suffer the same economic divide every other first world country has between the rich and the poor as their GDP skyrockets.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Are you sure, the divide in the US is pretty high and if the right wing vultures get in it will even be higher.

These guys are going to surpase the US, also the Chinese.

Keep a positive outlook, they will soon open call centre in America soon and they will insult our operaters.

"...they will soon open call centre in America soon and they will insult our operators."
Wait, does this mean I will no longer be able to banter with the call center operators whether the sequel to Slum Dog Millionaire with be called Slum Dog Billionaire due to India's hyperinflation? Or worst yet, contest that Hadji was more popular than Bandit in Jonny Quest? Say it ain't sooooooooo!
