The 458 Italia, Ferrari's V8 supercar, is the default choice in its category. Sexy, with a fabulous design and the latest in automotive technology, it is a pure driver’s car to be enjoyed by anyone who can afford it.
Yet McLaren plans to spoil Ferrari’s party claiming that its own brand-new supercar, the MP4-12C, can beat it. On paper, little separates them. But the question for car fanatics remains: which one is better?
To find out, Channel 5's Fifth Gear presenters Tiff Needell and Jason Plato decided to pit the Ferrari against its new challenger from Britain. Their verdict? To find out, just follow the jump and watch the video…

I love the McLaren engine design, but the styling of the 458 trumps the majority of the supercars on the market today.
Acctualy i was waithing for this tipe of review... yes the Mclaren it's nice and very powerfull but it's and it always be a computer with wheels.... the ferrari on the other hand is a marvelous Sport car WITH computers to make ir better. there's nothing that i hate more than a computer telling me that i can't drive and "tries" to save me...
They are stealing the plans of TopGear!!!
Dare to pit these against the LF-A.
The Ferrari has and always will be the benchmark. Enzo told Ferruccio (you know... Lamborghini) many years ago. Try hards like Mclaren will keep trying (with or without Lewis grip...whats next Lewis earings on the mirrors? LOL). What Enzo learned ar Alfa Romeo he developed with Ferrari...the best is best.
PS that wanker that typed LFA...is that some gay pride march anthem...Little Fairy - Ass entry???

Have you wankers heard of another never was and never will be that also proclaimed "best ever"...nsx, just a honda thats all...like lfa a toyota and infiniti a datsun. Here today bored and gone tomorrow...

- Why you trim pubic hair for a living?
CAR magazine UK:
"I misjudge the unfamiliar corners, clumsily correct mid-bend and brake too late in places, and the LF-A remains unflustered, staying composed over light crests, unruffled during rapid acceleration changes"
CAR claims a Lambo would feel edgier, and clumsier handling at the limit, and a F430 Scuderia would not feel as unflappable.
Great thats all we need, a fast car for drivers that can't drive...anyone spot the problem?
Here's a quick history lesson, compared to sports/exotics of say 30yrs ago todays average shopping cars can out handle, out brake and often match or out accelerate those past icons.
What hasn't improved is the little fungus growing inbetween the ears (sometimes refered to as brain or lack of) and thus those with less driving skills are travelling faster where/when they shouldn't and collision speeds have increased (with resulting increased colateral damage).
So making "playstation" cars like toyota lfa or datsun gtr that any twit can drive regardless of skill because it is all computer calculated/manipulated is not necessarily a good thing...especially for the other road users, pedestrians, cyclists, houses, wildlife etc etc.
I would much rather that technology went into training simulators for people before getting their licence...leave superfast cars to skilled drivers where their judgement counts not bypassing intelligence with a calculator...

There is a difference between cars made 3 decades back and cars made with just two to three years difference between them.
How about travelling faster and safer dude?
See the L-FA is like a roller coaster. In a roller coaster you feel like you are going out of control but you know you are in control or to be more precise you are being controlled. But the Great part is that here, You are in control of this roller coaster. Its an OVERWHELMING feeling.

Enough said.

Lexus is NOW the new standard and will always be that way because its too high. I don't see any car coming close to it. I don't see any company having the expertise.
