Fancying a GM classic with a little more, ahem, pizazz than your run-of-the-mill F-Body Chevrolet Camaro? Welcome to the wonderful world of eBay and the DreamRyder (that's how the owner spells the name of the car).
The DreamRyder is the creation of one Bill Logan who used a V8-powered 1984 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible as a base. Logan says he spent 13 years to complete all the customizations, which include a fiberglass body said to be inspired by a number of animals such as the bat ray and the eagle.
The DreamRyder is up for sale on eBay at an undisclosed reserve price, with the highest bid currently standing at $5,900. Head down for more photos, a video and the seller's description of the car.
eBay Seller's Description:
"Built on an "F" body 82-92 Camaro over a 13 year period, I consider it functional art.
So my work is an animalistic representation in the form of a sphinx like creature, crouching between its flanks, about to pounce. In the front is a face with a beak, fangs and eyes.
The roof is kind of a bat ray with an eagle like head and its body spread out behind it, embracing the rear window and ending in a sweeping transition into a creatures buttocks in the rear.
All the lights are functional and are fiberglass as is the rest of the body as are the side pipes.
I have built a set of molds so I can reproduce any part I might need. I am considering building an enhanced version eventually.
It is a driver and a traffic stopper and is very well received at shows."

Is Bill a byproduct of the Flower Power generation? It took a lot of tokes on the Maui Wowie to achieve this level of styling.
While I can't really say I like this very much, I have to admit to being somewhat impressed by the creator's imagination and craftsmanship. I won't be bidding but I have a sneaking admiration for this guy.
Time and money...one man's dream another's nightmare.
I like wacky tabacy and Ilike this car.
KISS!
That guy is stoned out of his mind. I think I can actually hear his wife rolling her eyes as she narrates. The side-exhaust would actually be cool if it was functional. The ass-end is horrific. Paint it Flat-black, and I will drive it to Gen-Con next year as a joke.
This is definitely a one of a kind car. While it is not at all my cup of tea, and I would think that most folks on this site would feel the same, I do have to admit that the fit and finish is pretty good. I think it took some mad skills to make this ultimate 1970s cartoon pimp mobile.
Some interesting oddities that I noBased on the fit/finish, I dont think the ganja was on board while work was done. Of course, when you have the cartoonlike side pipes...and dual exhausts in the back, maybe a little ganja produced that.

I wonder if he is going through his mid life crisis?
The one eye is GOD?~!
Illuminati's right there.................
Looks pretty cool- unique and one of a kind! (Just don't like the illumanati eyes)
Isn't this Penelope Pitstop's car in that retro "car" 'toons The Wacky Races...

It's actually sorta cool in an 'over-the-top', Big Daddy Roth kinda way. Be fun to drive around in a purple pimp outfit.
one that lasted...13 years? Well thats 13 years he's not gonna get back.
I really like it. I was just to another car show, and most of the cars, though exhibiting excellent paint and workmanship, are atypical and I have seen very similar cars countless times. This is different. In a GOOD way. Way cooler than a BatMobile or other movie car.
I think the thing would sell like hotcakes in Russia. With up grades like a whale penis skin shift knob, baby seal skin seat covers over Italian leather seats. The gold accents would of course have to be REAL GOLD, not just plated but one quarter inch thick flattened gold bar stock.
I LIKE the car, seriously.
I have been working up a modified Barracuda idea with a large central fin, rear glass converted to louvered body color metal, and an Ausie Hemi slant six turbo.
After seeing this, back to drawing board for me.
WOW ebay hell is so full of American.
That is one whacky car.
It reminds me of the film The Car! :) :) :)
