One of the latest models to fall into the hands of California-based company Newport Convertible Engineering (NCE) is the new Jaguar XJ.
NCE is known for chopping off the roofs of just about anything it can, be that a Toyota Prius hybrid or a luxury Range Rover SUV.
And while we respect the work that went into developing and applying the convertible treatment to Jaguar's flagship limousine, the end result is not what we would call elegant or stylish, especially with the soft top in normal position. Check out the rest of the pictures for yourself in our gallery after the break.
Kudos to Torben for the tip!

oh God, ugly on top of ugly, two wrongs just don't make a right.
Actually, it wouldn't be so bad if it was an el-camino-esque convertible. ie. the front covered like a SUV and the back convertible. especially if the back was a folding hard top.
YUKK!!! Rather see a HERSE version!!
Lexus LS Convertible all the way!! The Monaco one!! Not this Jag.. waste!
Ugh. Why?
Looks just as cheap if not WORSE than their other Prius and Range Rover convertibles. . Why? I cant imagine anyone looking at that and thinking WOW sxey car... It beyond bad
what's with that huge panel gaps on that car, man if i have the money i would spend it on something else, beside it is really ugly, some how Jaguar had never been the same when the Tata took over, but then again what can you expect from a brand that's been in trouble 2 decades ago.
