Color Me Bronze: Toyota's FT-86 II Concept Hits the Frankfurt Stage with a New Color

|

Toyota seems ready to knock down the Chevrolet Camaro's record number of motorshow appearances before it finally entered production with its FT-86 sports coupe.

More than three years after Toyota and Subaru announced plans to co-develop a rear-wheel drive coupe, and almost two years after Toyota first showed a concept of the FT-86, the Japanese company is still displaying prototypes of its long-awaited sports car.

At this week's Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany, Toyota brought along the most recent interpretation of the FT-86 II Concept that we first saw in Geneva this past March with a small twist: instead of a black finish, the study features a bronze/orange hue along with colored brake calipers, and that's about it.

Check out the pictures right after the jump.

looks ten times better than the earlier black finished concept, actually really considering buying one now when it goes on sale, just keep this colour and dont mess about with too many changes!

Looks like a 370Z with a body kit.  Those LED's streaming down the front are ridiculous.  For the 20-thousand dollar price it will command it won't look like this...you can thank awesome US gov't regulations for that.

So many details that I couldn't see when it was black. glad they showed it in a color that allows the details to stand out. Still torn between the 3 versions. So weird for a car company to this with a concept to production car to make so many different versions of the concept. I guess they wanted to get public opinion on the II with it being more visible. I am leaning towards the Scion concept as it is more of a mix between the simplicity of the first one and the aggressiveness on the II.

Don't know how it drive, but I prefer a Mustang over this. And if you insist on japanese, I'll take a 370Z !

Enough Already...Give Us the Damn Car.

If it has the interior volume shown Mustang and Camaro should be worried.
