As we're getting closer to the grand opening of the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show on November 18, more news is breaking out about the production and concept cars that will receive their world premiere.

Today, Carscoop learned that Lincoln is planning to display the facelifted versions of its not-so-successful MKS sedan and MKT crossover in Los Angeles.

There is no official information yet, but it is believed that the 2013MY versions of the MKS and MKT will both receive a mild cosmetic makeover and possibly some mechanical updates.

The two Lincoln models are scheduled to go on sale in the States in the first or second quarter of 2012.

Looking at the spy photos of the MKT makes me think that Lincoln is well on its way to being shut down.  The new MKZ (a total redesign) had better be a huge improvement.

I can't see why any of Lincolns dealerships would spend $1Million updating their dealerships when Ford keeps pushing out this crap.

The current lineup at Lincoln, even with facelifts is dismal.  When you have equivalent Ford products for less, do they really think paying purely for the LIncoln name is going to do it?  Ain'tgoingtohappen.com.
The name Lincoln is meaningless to most...has no cache.  In a way it's the new Mercury.  Terrible way to treat an historical nameplate.

They need to do something about the tail lights on that MKT. Seriously! Don't just channel all that focus on the front end! The rear is equally aweful!!
