Video: In Russia, the Ice Drives You

|

Things can get pretty ugly very quickly in certain parts of Russia once the winter weather sets in. But while most motorists were having a really rough time dealing with the extremely slippery conditions on the roads of Vladivostok, bystanders equipped with cameras were having a blast at their expense. You can see what we mean for yourself in the videos after the jump.

I'd love to see just one professional/experienced driver show them how it's done

I hate Toyota and its rear wheel drive system, it's the worst driving experience in a snow storm. the better way to handle the icy road is AWD or front wheel drive with chain, and drive very, very slow.

majority of them Japanese suvs have a locking diff for this kind of weather... just a bunch of dumb drivers who have no idea how to drive in snow conditions

The dude on the scooter made my day. What a bunghole!

I believe it's not only snow but pure ice underneath. In these conditions it doesn't matter what kind of diff you have or how good a driver you are if you don't have proper tires (studded).

Do you think, that drivers are so stupid?
Especially when they have winter 9 months a year.
This street located in Vladivostok and they have the same slippery street every year. You know why? Because for the local authorities the beginning of winter is a VERY big surprise. Frankly speaking, they didn't expect snow and ice in winter.
