We can't be 100 percent certain that this Corvette C6 ZR1 modded by the crew over at 'Late Model Racecraft' is indeed the quickest ZR1 in the world as claimed by its builder, but after watching it run the quarter mile in just 9.68 seconds with an exit speed of 147mph [237km/h], we have no doubt that it's blazing fast.
But don't just take our word for it, scroll over the jump to watch the video for yourself.

Is it me or did her miss the green light?
Either way, Dominic Toretto would be envious.
0 - 60 in 2.2 secs!!!!!!!
Yes by over 2 seconds......but not part of the elapsed time. Only would have been a problem if he was racing another fast car. 0-60 IN JUST OVER 2 SECONDS........
The run was timed by the accelerometer or whatever sort of gadget was in the car giving us the data we see in this video. Here, the green light was "informal;" the clock started running not when the light went green, but when the car left the line.
This makes the video difficult to analyze under the Vin Diesel Rule: W ≈ W xor in. or mi.
Blazing Fast!!
I am somewhat ashamed to say that I am not impressed. I do not see the novelty or the excitement of a car of this caliber reaching this level of performance. From the factory the thing comes with over 600 blown hp. It should be quick, and with a little tuning and a smaller wheel on the charger, I cannot see why numbers like this wouldn't be possible to just about anyone with a little extra cash and an ability to launch something down the track.
Get one of those Chevy sonics or a volt to go down the 1/4 mile like that and then an eyebrow might raise. Maybe I am a cynic, or a Chevy-hater... sorry.
thanks for sharing video!
I am not ashamed to say that I am impressed. I am a lover of all types of motor sport and really dislike dumb ass pubescents.
That was shot at my local drag strip in Baytown!
You are a Wise boy.
60 km per hour..
NO 60 m.p.h. is correct.
There is no km/h any where in these calculations.
Quick, despite some slow shifts.
And another thought; This $100,000 Plus 'Modified' Vette is barely only a second faster then my 'Stock' Kawasaki GPz 750 Turbo.
