New 2012 Chrysler 300 Luxury Edition with 3.6-liter V6

|

Chrysler continues to expand its offerings for the new 300 sedan with the introduction of a new V6 option for the Luxury Edition, which will be available in addition to the range-topping 300C Luxury Series featuring a 363 horsepower 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine.

The 300 Luxury Edition is powered by the regular model's 292HP 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine matched to a standard eight-speed automatic transmission and the choice of rear- or all-wheel drive.

As with the HEMI-powered Luxury Edition, the V6 model sports a slew of bespoke extras highlighted by the liberal use of leather throughout the interior.

Aside from the Black or two-tone Mochachino seats that are wrapped in Nappa leather and include 12-way power-adjustable front seats with two-mode ventilation and two-mode heated seats for both front and rear passengers, the Luxury model gets the same leather treatment for the dashboard, center console, door panels, armrest and steering wheel.

Furthermore, the interior package includes die-cast paddle shifters, Natural Pore Mocha wood trim in a matte finish, an infotainment and navigation system with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, LED-illuminated instrument cluster with driver-selectable colors, power-adjustable steering wheel column and pedals, chrome door sills, dual heated/cooled cup holders, ambient lit foot well lighting, LED illuminated interior door handles and front and rear map pockets plus premium carpeted trunk mat.

On the outside, the Luxury package adds 20-inch polished face (RWD) or 19-inch (AWD) alloy wheels, plus platinum chrome fascia accents, exterior mirror caps and door handle accents.

Both the V6- and V8-powered Chrysler 300 Luxury Series models will go on sale next February.

The Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (including $825 destination) of the 300 Luxury models is:

  • Chrysler 300 Luxury Series (V6 RWD) $40,145
  • Chrysler 300 Luxury Series (V6 AWD) $42,495
  • Chrysler 300C Luxury Series (V8 RWD) $42,895
  • Chrysler 300C Luxury Series (V8 AWD) $45,245

Natural pore mocha wood trim........more Chrysler bullshit like "fine Corinthian leather"
Is it plastic.....is it  black walnut....is it pressed embossed wood?

Nappa leather.............where do nappas live.........are they endangered?

Most luxury cars have stailess door sills not chrome.

They love to polish turds.

All that trim with a 290 hp 31 mpg V6.  The V6 is all of a sudden more appealing than the Hemi.

@Polyester Poontang- this is not a DAIMLER cheap car, chrysler is gettin its act together. now go sit in a Hyundai Equus, a 70,000 dollar car and you'll see CHEAP!!! lol. go sit in a Buick lacrosse and you'll see fake wood, this cars door handles dont have chrome its "platinum chrome trim".and yes most 60 to 100,000 dollar cars do have "chrome door handles", this is a 40 to 45,000 dollar car. i'll bet it feels just as good and performs just as well as those expensive FORIEGN cars.

Daimler's platform paid for with Daimler's money and Daimler's R&D.

Chrysler thinks the platform is theirs in the exact same capacity as Proton thinks it's platforms aren't Mitsubishi's.

I like the 300 a lot and this model really make it looks even better, but make no mistake the Hyundai Equus is nothing to sneeze at. That car and this car both hold their own..Honestly though I would feel safer in a Hyundai as far as reliability is concern but price in this case is the strong hold for Chrysler. My brother has had 2 dodge rams and both transmissions have been bad in them a 2007 and now a 2010...How ever my brother went with the ram again after his first ram saved him when a 18 wheeler jacked knifed into his ram and he walk away safe...I on the other hand have a 2007 Hyundai sonata now with 168,000 miles and I know I will get to 200.000 miles and with the exception of replacementds for tires brakes and my drivers side sun visor that broke when I yank on it, this car has been problem free...I love both the cars in your post so I guess for me there is no bad, more apples vs oranges....any ways the Equus is far from cheap looking inside and I would own both if I won the lotto

The Germans have been polishing turds for 30-years now poon and by the amount of sales they generate, I would have to say they are very good at it. Are the German brands any better than say the Chrysler 300 which is build on its own platform now? Probably not.  Blarg after Daimler stole all of Chryslers cash and bankrupt them with thier shitty german ideals and product planning, The ML is still a Jeep, even the new one by the way which daimler stole along with the Viper which is that shitty german product called an SLS, oh and I remember not to long ago Mercedes flogging something called cylinder deactivation as "new" I guess for them Chryslers MDS system is new. I sorry what did you say Chrysler got from Daimler other than broke?
