Woman Speeds out of Ferrari Dealership in a Corvette and Flips Over [Video]

|

A very strange accident involving a yellow Corvette C6 and two more cars just took place in Norwood, Massachusetts. A witness told Boston's NewsCenter5 that the person responsible for the accident is an unnamed woman who "races cars for a living".

And what did this female racing(?) driver do, we hear you ask? Well, according to an eyewitness account, the woman in the Corvette stopped at a Chevrolet dealership in Norwood on Route 1 looking for a faster set of wheels. The dealer didn't have anything to offer her so she went over to a nearby dealership to test drive a Ferrari.

And here's where the story gets a bit hazy. The witness told reporters that "something happened at the Ferrari dealership" causing the woman to flip out and then race off in her Corvette only to lose control moments after and hit a pole before landing upside down.

The police said that the woman hit two other cars during the crash. The woman in the Corvette along with one person from one of the other vehicles involved in the crash were injured and taken to the hospital.

Update:

While the Boston Channel reported that the woman siting behind the wheel of the Corvette was a race car driver (citing an unnamed witness as the source), Carscoop reader Johnny H. tipped us off that she's actually a ballroom dancer. We haven't yet fully verified the claim, but we did confirm that the young lady quoted by our reader resides in Massachusetts and does own a yellow Corvette C6. In any case, we hope that she fully recovers from her injuries.

definitely not alone is the flippin' ferrari zone.

Probably she heard the price...

Maybe she asked for a trade in deal on the Corvette and didn't like it when they laughed, went off in a huff and ..... well, the rest we know.

Maybe she want to try her skills there but PMS..

She probably heard the tiny amount they would give her for her C5 and got offended.

Maybe the price is too much for her, so she flipped out? or husband divorce her?

It's not her fault.  When the Corvette heard that he was too slow for her and she wanted to dump him for a snazzier European Ferrari he lost it and tried to commit murder suicide.

I've been to the Ferrari dealer in Norwood, they pissed me off too, I will never go back! I didn't leave in a rage and flip my car though...

Dam* vette drivers.

I bet she thought she could trade in her vette and walk right out with a brand new, untouched ferrari of her choice.

R.I.P that poor car.

"Fail" <-- dunno of a better place to use the word. Guess she doesn't a really good living if she races for a living.

Yet another example of someone losing control of these overpowered Corvettes, it's just too much power  for rear wheel drive, regardless of any kind of traction control it might have.  When will GM start offering    the Corvette with AWD?

Alexander Pecheny said... »December 05, 2011

Maybe both dealerships kicked her out because they were jealous of her "RACING SKILLS".  What a freaking moron.  Race cars for a living?  Don't PMS in them and send them flying upside down, and someone might believe you.

Race Car Driver ... Ball Room Dancer.  The
same number of syllables so I can understand the confusion.  I bet any racer could be equally embarrassed
on the dance floor during a wild tango number.

...and she's looking for a faster car?
