When you are a Major League Baseball Hall of Famer like Tony Gwynn, you can pretty much afford to get whatever ride you like. In Gwynn's case, at some point he fancied a first-generation Chrysler 300 in a coupe form. And he got his wish.
But now, Gwynn's custom-made Chrysler 300 has popped up for sale at Beverly Hills Motor Cars in San Diego with the dealer asking for US$27,950 (€21,700).
The 2005 Chrysler is powered by a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 matched to an automatic transmission and has only been driven for 7,000 miles (11,263 kilometers).
Aside from transforming the four-door saloon into a coupe, the customizer also chopped the roof and added large Asanti wheels and decorative chrome trim on the outside.
We could be wrong, but judging by the design and the controls for the front seats, they seem to have been lifted off an older BMW, possibly a 3 Series.

Pointless and poorly executed.
The coupe concept looks interesting but damn, that crayola blue and those wheels turn me off.
Cool concept. Pity about the headlining and the garish badging on the trunk.
Too garish to warrant any interest on my part. Could have been well executed and tastefully done, but proceeded in the opposite direction.
it's sad. no taste at all, just sad...
What's wrong with the headlining? It's alcantara.
If I bought it...I would start the de-chroming process immediately.
Pimp my Ride reject
I only dislike the wheels, because blue is my color!
Get rid of the bling and it might look okay. Would like to see it as a convertible.
Yeah, i'd buy it. 28 grand sounds like a good price for a custom car that has that little KM on it.
Hell, I'd probably drive it for a few months untill the snow came and just sell it again.
P.S. who the hell pimped out this car??? Looks like a piece of !@#$ !!
image 7 shows that it was installed by a child with maimed hands
nicely done.
It's ok looking but not my cup of tea
