2012 Infiniti M35h vs Porsche Panamera S Hybrid: And the World's Fastest Full Hybrid Model is…

If not all, most makers of hybrid automobiles focus their advertising campaigns on their vehicles' fuel economy and CO2 emission ratings, but not Infiniti that has taken a different route with its new M35h.

Following a teaser clip last week, the Japanese carmaker released the full video today of its M35h taking on the also new 2012 Porsche Panamera S Hybrid in a quarter mile drag race.

The 360-horsepower M35h completed the standing quarter mile in 13.4 seconds beating the 380-horsepower Porsche Panamera S Hybrid by about half-a-car's length, according to the video provided by Infiniti.

It also improved upon its previous time of 13.9031 seconds with which it made it into the Guinness World Records as the world’s fastest accelerating full-hybrid car last fall.

Its really funny if you think why infiniti had to shoot this film at this point. (remember what comes out from porsche in the next coming year?)

It is good to know that Infinit's acceleration is "better", however I prefer Porsche's design...

Infiniti hybrid wins this zero-60 while Porsche wins the women all day, everyday.

Love the part where you see the Panamera being filmed from the front, only to realize later on the picture is in the side view mirror of the Infinity.

"according to the video provided by Infiniti." ...makes you wonder if the would have posted this out if the Porsche "came out tops" ... cheap and tasteless marketing tactics, this is for independent journos not manufacturers...

You guys gave away the winner on the front page. I only clicked in to tell you that. Otherwise, I have no need to find out who won, because you already told me on the front page. Buzzkill.

Never trust the Japanese OEM videos.   There are so many questionable 'vs' showdown videos being pumped out of the land of the rising sun it is a joke.

Weird angles, obvious issues off the line with either the Japanese car jumping or the competitor faltering, Japanese drivers in the competitors car audibly letting off the gas (seriously, when you can hear the car slowing down the jigg is up...), complete mismatches, etc, etc, etc.   Yeah, a mid 90's 1000bhp skyline is going to beat a base ferrari modena in 0-60.  A bathtub with 1000bhp will beat a ferrari, heck it would be a Bugatti.

Nissan had to stop churning out this crap because their GT-R videos started to be so cheezy and fictional you'd think jesus had returned, hopped over to nissan and made Godzilla his own pet project along with bringing back Fanta (yum!)

"Never trust the Japanese OEM videos".
Whatever. You can certainly trust their cars. The real deal.
