New 2013 Porsche Cayman Coupe Digitally Imagined

|

The official presentation of all-new Porsche Boxster roadster earlier this month afforded us a pretty good idea of what it's coupe sibling, the new Cayman, will look like, both inside and out.

There is of course a matter of proportions and the shape of the tin top, but that too can be solved with a little bit of imagination along with some help from the numerous spy shots that have circulated around the internet the last year.

Enter the digital world of photoshop artist Wild Speed who created a series of renderings of the 2013 Cayman for the Porscheboost website.

Like the Boxster, the new Cayman will benefit from a lightweight aluminum body, which along with some other improvements may help shed as much as 50kg (110 pounds) compared to the current model.

Unless Porsche has a surprise in store for us, the Cayman should get the same pair of improved flat six engines as the Boxster with a displacement of 2.7-liters and 3.4-liters, with more sportier version like the R model to join the range in due time.

I don;t see how hard it can be to figure out how a porche boxster , 911 , or other simular models will look like because they basic shape has never changed.

I should have never sold my cayman S, bought a 2007 911 tbo and sold the cayman, that was several cars ago.  2011 Panamera tbo I own is good, not great, 2006 cayenne tbo was a great. I will prob sell my SLS AMG which is a great car, to make room for a 2013 cayman S again. Just the funnest of the bunch to drive.
