BMW DesignworksUSA's New Síragon All-in-one Computer

|

Thermaltake isn't the only company in the broader computer industry that has tapped the styling expertise of the BMW Group subsidiary DesignworksUSA for its products.

Síragon, which is a Venezuelan manufacturer and assembler of personal computing products and consumer electronics such as cameras and LCD television sets, has also enlisted the help of DesignworksUSA for the creation of its flagship AIO 9000 Series all-in-one computer.

The new AIO 9000 Series was selected as a CES Innovations 2012 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree in the Computer Hardware & Components product category.

Key styling cues include the CPU’s unique asymmetrical base, which DesignworksUSA says creates "a cantilevered effect that seems to suspend the monitor weightlessly over the work". The same cantilever design form is carried over to the AIO 9000 Series’ keyboard and mouse.

“The Síragon AIO 9000 Series all-in-one computer stands apart from the crowd, projecting confidence and capability through its pursuit of uncompromised design excellence,” said Laurenz Schaffer, President, BMW Group DesignworksUSA.

“We are honored that this creative collaboration with Síragon on product design and branding has captured the attention of the CES Innovations 2012 Design and Engineering Awards, and thank its jury for this prestigious recognition,” he added.

Síragon said that the new AIO 9000 PC will launch in South America in mid-2012, with additional markets to be announced at a later date.

Can I just pick you up on one error in an otherwise excellent article - BMW does not have any design expertise, witness X1, X3, X6, 1 series (pre and post face-left), 5 series GT, 6 series, 6 series 4 door coupé, 7 series etc.
Please amend the article accordingly - danke shon!

Typical BMW rubbish. Bland as a PC and everything an optional extra. No doubt the 'sheep' in the UK will but it when the RH hung version is released.
Stop press>> Auto union is working on one right now.. available with Skoda and Seat badges too..
