While BMW wants to keep its signature motto "Ultimate Driving Machine" alive, it also desires to attract a younger crowd with its marketing efforts on the brand-new 2012 3-Series sedan.
Hence the playful nature of its new U.S. campaign, which comprises six short commercials, two of which will air on TV during Super Bowl XLVI this Sunday.
The 15 and 30 second ads were created by 'Kirschenbaum, Bond, Senecal + Partners', and all of them demonstrate some of the new technologies that have been incorporated into the latest 3-Series in a humorous manner. You can watch all of them right after the break.

If it's the ultimate driving machine then why isn't anyone driving?
No, actually you make two things: The Ultimate Driving Machine AND stupid commercials. Those are so lame. Who thought that showing the dog opening the trunk was a good thing?
All of the commercials above didn't show a damn thing about ultimate driving, just a lot of family, SUV features. how about just getting a van for that.
What is that tall blonde drink of water doing with that runt?
Allegedly, tall women prefer short men.
I don't know if that's true, but I do know that tall men prefer short women.

Does it bother you that much that the dog is smarter than you.
Making a point on the automatic adjustability of the seats.
Or in your case setting up a situation to be insulted by some brain dead country bumpkin.
Where is my Red Coupe?
Even though you're Hugh, I'm guessing your not Huge. Don't fret, size isn't everything.
Did not realize there was another surviving brain donour.
Nice, but the notion that BMW is a luxury car brand is ridiculous. I miss the days when BMW didn't put cup holders or ash trays in their cars in the had an identity. BMW's are built to be sports cars, albeit practical ones. However, it's nice that they at least understand what luxury is now. Not a maze of computers that you can't get your head around even if hackers can, it's the practical stuff like what they're showing here. My only concern is that face. It works on the i8, but it looks awkward on a small sedan. Hyundai has the same problem with the new Genesis Coupe.
I'm 6'7" and I've got a 5'10", so don't know about that....
my 4 year old camry detects my smartkey and automatically adjusts the seat when i open the door, yet in a 2012 3-series you have to bend down and press the memory button yourself lol
Only in USA can BMW make an ad for the cheapo Chinese electronic extras instead of the driving balance, power, etc.
