A 60-second spot that aired during the break in Sky TV’s Super Bowl coverage last Sunday was the opening shot in Chrysler’s new advertising campaign with which it re-launches the brand in the United Kingdom.
The commercial shows the 300C sedan cruising through Detroit and then emerging through a tunnel in the streets of London, where it is joined by the rest of the brand's UK line-up. It is very similar to this ad only now we see Chrysler's re-badged Lancia models as well.
Chrysler will spend no less than £10 Million in promoting the “Different Is What We Do” campaign that will include three major TV commercials, further digital and terrestrial TV ads, and press, online, direct and electronic marketing.
“From the Motor City, Chrysler celebrates the car industry and the pride in the things they make”, said Jeep Chrysler UK brand director Nigel Land. “It features a story of resilience not dissimilar to many around the UK and Europe. Chrysler’s Different Is What We Do line is set to become a confident movement statement”, he added.
Chrysler’s UK range currently includes the Ypsilon supermini, which starts at £10,695, the Delta five-door hatchback (from £16,695) and the Grand Voyager MPV (from £28,225), and will be expanded with the addition of the 300C later in the year.

holy mother of god. Did chrysler just bitch slap the brits...me thinks so.
Britain used to have a huge auto industry. Got cocky and now the Indians own Jag and Land Rover. Ze Germans own Rolla and Bently. China owns MG and Rover I believe (are they the same company? no time to guggle that one)
I would argue that this ad is in poor taste and again, just thrusts 'USA USA USA' down their limey throats. (I'm a brit so I have an L-pass btw). Why do the yanks always fucking do this. It's like the only thing they ever have to say is "we're american....USA USA USA...."
different is what we do?????????????????? what the hell is that?
Hope someone told them the steering wheel goes on the right.
Selling Detroit as the centre of the auto world is a joke......why would they insult the brit's intelegence.
U.S. brand of bullshit will turn off the British.
What is this diference they are talking about?
Yeah, we are really Impressed..... Italian cars with a Chrysler badge, woohoo well done America.
Put our heads down? How Begging Obama for a bail out? I think the US tax payers are still shor t$1.3Bil I am sure the check is in the mail. Chrysler, build something you can sell and make a profit.
Can a new car be any uglier? Geez(!)
It means Chrysler is gay...
They have been on sale a few years in the UK now, the rebadged daewoo cheap cars sell to the retired motorist but thats about it.
Different is what we do, selling dodgy rebadged Lancias? great two well below average brands mashed together making one enormous failure, great, good luck with that.
Different is what you poo more like. :)
The Voyager has been their best selling car here for years, and you only see them around from time to time. I meant it is the most popular American car here.
Have to admit i agree with the other comments, this was shown during the Superbowl coverage over here too, in fact it was the very first advert IIRC. It'll be good to see the 300C here (even though their old design was miles better). Public opinion of Chrysler as a brand though? Very poor over here. American cars in general don't have a good reputation here. JEEP do well but that's about it, and in the last few years everyone has been switching to range rovers and the new Evoques that came out in 2010(?). I mean i wouldn't buy one even though i like the 300C, my first thought is poor build quality. Especially with great German cars on the market. At the very least the 300C should be cheaper, it can't compete with the luxury brands, so they have to offer a cheaper price to succeed
Different was Lancia... before they stuck it into Chrysler's ass...
Different are these 2 smallest fake-Chryslers and awful as hell!
Can i just point out that even though a lot of British car companies are owned by foreign companies, they are all still based in Britain. So the benefiting economy is still the British. All F1 teams are based in Britain, Mercedes build their engines in Britain, F1 an non-F1. Ford have a lot of factories in England that provide to the rest of Europe.
In fact on saying that i completely forgot that Ford is an American company so my comment below is wrong, Ford are the best selling American cars, the Mondeo to be specific, well to be fair they are all British built and not sold in America yet, which i think the Voyager is.
At last, Lancia finally admits (by producing the new Ypsilon) that Marchionne wants it to make cars for the 10%. And what better UK promotion for cars made exclusively for the likes of Ted Haggard than rebading them as Chryslers?
