Federal safety regulators have opened a preliminary investigation into a possible fire risk in approximately 830,000 Toyota Camry sedans, Camry Solara coupes and cabriolets and RAV4 SUVs from the 2007 model year.
The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said that it has received six consumer complaints, and other manufacturer reports supplied through Early Warning Reporting data submissions, all of which allege a fire in the driver's side door.
"Based on the available information, it appears the fires are originating from the power window master switch located on the driver's door," said the filing on NHTSA's website.
The Japanese company sent an email statement saying that it is waiting for more information but will fully cooperate with the federal safety agency.
"Toyota received the Preliminary Evaluation Opening Resume for the 2007 RAV4 and Camry on February 7. However, we have not received an information request from the NHTSA. Toyota will fully cooperate with the agency in its efforts to investigate these allegations," the company said in an email statement," the automaker said in the statement.

I'm sure that Toyota will first blame it on the window switch supplier, just before there's a government inquiry into why they didn't do something sooner. Then it'll be concluded as driver error.
Toyota does something about it even if it is right in blaming. After all we know it was sabotage regarding previous incidents.
